Job summary

Blue View Builder is seeking an experienced VP of Operations to lead our modular housing manufacturing and on-site installation efforts in San Diego. You will direct design, engineering, factory production, supply chain, and quality control to deliver high-quality modular homes on time and within budget.

The role requires deep residential construction and manufacturing experience, with a focus on lean processes, P&L ownership, and California regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in progressive leadership for residential construction and manufacturing.
• Experience in modular, prefab, or off-site home production is preferred.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial acumen in a factory setting.
• Deep knowledge of California building codes, Title 24, CALGreen, and permitting.
• Proven ability to scale operations, improve throughput, and hit budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead all manufacturing and operational functions including factory production, QA, inventory, and logistics.
• Oversee end-to-end process from design coordination to on-site installation of modular homes.
• Develop scalable systems, KPIs, and lean initiatives to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Manage P&L with CFO to control costs and improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with California codes, seismic standards, and local permitting.
• Build and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team across design, eng, supply chain, and safety.
• Drive strategic growth, factory expansion, and new product lines in modular housing.
• Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to CEO/COO.
