Job summary

Ecomod is seeking a highly organized Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead all daily operations of our modular home manufacturing facility. You will guide a decisive team to ensure high‑quality, sustainable units are produced on schedule, within budget, and with strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include production management, lean implementation, scheduling, cost control, and cross‑functional leadership with engineering and procurement.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive experience in production/operations/manufacturing management roles, preferably modular/prefab construction or related industries.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a large team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in factory settings.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize the modular home production line from material staging to final assembly and QA.
• Implement lean manufacturing to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow.
• Develop and manage detailed production schedules to meet project timelines and customer delivery dates.
• Monitor production costs, labor hours, and expenditures to maintain budget and safety standards.
• Hire, train, and manage production supervisors and a diverse workforce.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and conduct regular safety audits and training.
• Establish QA/QC checkpoints at every stage to meet durability and energy-efficiency standards.
• Collaborate with procurement to manage materials inventory and usage.
