Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetics Systems, Inc. (GA-EMS) seeks a Vice President of Manufacturing to lead multi-site operations in Tupelo, MS or Rancho Bernardo, CA.

You will provide strategic leadership, align resources with objectives, and drive a manufacturing vision that supports technical, schedule, revenue, and profitability goals. This executive role requires strong leadership, cross-functional expertise, and a proven track record in large-scale fabrication.

Qualifications

• Extensive manufacturing leadership experience, typically 25+ years in vertically integrated settings.
• Strong technical foundation with proven management of new system/equipment development and production.
• Demonstrated experience in large-system fabrication (welding, machining, high-power electronics).
• Broad cross-functional expertise across manufacturing operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and program management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-site manufacturing activities to meet technical, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Set annual technical, business, and financial targets and allocate resources accordingly.
• Direct workforce planning, selection, retention, and development for leadership and production talent.
• Represent the company in relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, and the broader community.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic alliances to enhance capabilities and growth.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual obligations across all sites.
• Promote safety and adherence to operating procedures and practices.
• Collaborate with senior executives to develop long-range strategic objectives.
