Job summary

Community Heart & Soul in Shelburne, VT seeks a VP of Business Development to lead the sales strategy for expanding our community-engagement program nationwide. You will mentor Heart & Soul Coaches, build partnerships with foundations, and drive market development plans across clusters through regional events.

This hands-on role requires consultative selling, remote-team collaboration, and a data-driven approach to grow new communities while maintaining program guidelines and mission alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience in consultative sales and partnerships.
• Ability to manage remote teams and mentor field staff.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with foundations and community leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sales strategy to expand Community Heart & Soul across new towns and regions.
• Lead and mentor a network of Heart & Soul Coaches; support market development plans and close towns interested in adopting the program.
• Expand partnerships with community foundations and other organizations to scale the program and ensure alignment with guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Sr Director of Training and internal staff to train, certify, and support coaches nationwide.
• Travel as needed to regional events and sites; base in Shelburne, VT with out-of-state travel.
