Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a visionary and hands-on VP, Head of Engineering Practice to drive innovation across engineering initiatives, shared services, and foundational frameworks.

This role will shape engineering culture, establish best practices, and deliver scalable, cloud‑native solutions that power our enterprise platforms. The position is hybrid, in-office 3x per week in Jersey City or Raleigh, with the option for a fully remote hire and travel to Northeast offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven track record of leading large engineering teams and delivering complex enterprise solutions.
• Experience in Insurance P&C domain is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy for initiatives and shared services.
• Lead architecture decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.
• Champion AI-driven solutions and integrate GenAI capabilities into engineering workflows.
• Build and mentor a team of engineers and promote cross-functional collaboration.
