Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a visionary VP, Head of Engineering Practice to drive innovation across engineering initiatives and platforms.

The role is hybrid with in-office presence 3x per week in Jersey City or Raleigh; remote option with travel to Northeast offices is also available. You will establish best practices, champion AI-enabled engineering and lead scalable, secure cloud-native solutions enterprise-wide.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role.
• Experience leading large engineering teams and delivering enterprise solutions.
• Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular and databases.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and API-first design.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy for initiatives and shared services.
• Lead design and development of cloud-native, API-first apps with focus on scalability and security.
• Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
• Mentor engineers and build high-performing teams across locations.
• Collaborate with product and business leaders on AI opportunities.
