Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. seeks a visionary VP, Head of Engineering Practice to drive innovation across engineering initiatives and enterprise platforms. This hybrid role is based in Jersey City or Raleigh with in-office presence 3x per week; remote work is possible with travel to Northeast offices.

You will lead strategic governance, cloud-native delivery, and champion AI-driven solutions while mentoring junior engineers and shaping best practices across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a principal engineer or senior tech leader with hands-on full-stack background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years in senior tech leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute engineering strategy for initiatives and shared services.
• Lead governance and engineering practices across teams, incl. Infrastructure and Security.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
