Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a visionary and hands-on VP, Head of Engineering Practice to drive innovation across Engineering initiatives, shared services and foundational frameworks in a hybrid, 3x per week in-office role in Jersey City or Raleigh with the option for fully remote work and travel to Northeast offices.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in senior technical leadership.
• Hands-on full-stack background with Java, Spring Boot and Angular.
• Experience leading large engineering teams delivering enterprise solutions.
• Insurance P&C domain experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy and governance.
• Lead cloud-native, API-first development with scalable architectures.
• Foster innovation, implement CI/CD, testing and observability practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote cross-functional collaboration.
