Job summary

Metric DCX seeks a VP of Operations for Data Center Construction in Houston, TX. You will provide executive oversight of data center projects from preconstruction through closeout, driving performance across schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability, while leading client, design, and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• 15-20+ years of construction leadership experience.
• Proven track record with a large General Contractor delivering complex, large-scale projects.
• Experience leading multiple project teams and senior operations staff.
• Strong understanding of MEP, structural, and civil construction.
• Demonstrated ownership of project financials, schedules, and client relationships.
• Strong executive leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of data center projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Drive performance across schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability.
• Lead key client, design, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and operations teams.
• Oversee financial performance, forecasting, and project risk.
• Resolve escalated issues and drive consistent execution across the portfolio.
