Generation Tux is seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. They should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. Generation Tux, founded by menswear legend George Zimmer in 2014, is an online tuxedo and suit rental platform that offers high-quality rentals at competitive prices, shipped directly to your door.

The VP of Data & Analytics will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, leading the vision, development, and execution of the company's data reporting strategy. This role oversees analytics, governance, and strategy, aiming to build a world-class data organization that fuels innovation and business performance.

Responsibilities

1. Define and drive the enterprise data vision, ensuring data is leveraged as a strategic asset across the organization
2. Partner with the CEO, CFO, and other C-level leaders to shape strategy through data-driven insights and forecasting
3. Build and lead a high-performing data organization, including analytics, data science, engineering, and governance teams
4. Oversee data infrastructure development and modernization for scalability, automation, and real-time insights
5. Establish frameworks for experimentation, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics to optimize key business functions
6. Champion a culture of data literacy, self-service, and cross-functional collaboration
7. Establish and govern data management frameworks and policies, including data quality, lineage, stewardship, and compliance
8. Develop and execute a self-service analytics strategy to enable democratized data access while maintaining standards
9. Evaluate and implement new data platforms, technologies, and vendor solutions

Requirements

1. 10+ years of experience in analytics and data strategy, with 4+ years in a senior leadership role
2. Deep knowledge of data architecture, business intelligence, analytics tools, and governance frameworks
3. Proven success in scaling data teams and systems in high-growth, tech-enabled startups
4. Executive presence with the ability to influence at the C-suite level
5. Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to link analytics to P&L impact
6. Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
7. Willingness to travel up to 10% for collaboration and strategic planning
