AtCheckbook, we started with replacing paper checks with a beautifully engineered and thoughtfully designed digital check. We are now a full stack payments processor offering payment solutions with wallet capability to businesses. Our clients range from small businesses using our accounting software integrations through large enterprises in diverse industries including banking, insurance, legal, government and automotive.
We’re Series A funded, growing and scaling. We need a seasoned VP of Finance/CFO to take us to the next level. This position involves FP&A as well as overview and audit of existing processes.

This role may either be fractional
or full time position depending on the right candidate and their availability.

The Role :

As the established VP/CFO reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, you bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to refine the financial landscape of a high-potential company. Your role involves translating raw financial data into compelling presentations for Checkbooks' existing investors as well as new potential Investors and Venture Capitalists. In this prominent position, you play a pivotal role in fortifying the company's financial image, contributing to the effective projection of financials, business models, profit and loss statements, and delivering successful presentations that resonate not only with potential investors but also with Enterprise customers.

Requirements & Skills :

*Strategic Leadership:As a senior member of Checkbook, your role as VP/CFO goes beyond traditional responsibilities. You will play a key role in shaping and defining our organizational culture and operations during a period of significant growth, where we aim to more than double in size over the coming year.
* Financial Expertise:Leverage your extensive experience as a financial leader who has successfully navigated companies through Series B/C/D rounds. Your proven track record in closing funding rounds demonstrates your ability to contribute to the financial health and growth of the organization.
* Data Analysis and Presentation:Demonstrate your capability to transform raw data into compelling presentations tailored for professional institutional investors. Your expertise in collating and presenting data will be instrumental in attracting investment and building confidence among key stakeholders.
*Institutional Investor Relations:Utilize your experience in dealing with institutional investors to navigate and understand their perspectives. Your insights into the mindset of institutional investors will contribute to effective communication and relationship-building.
*Financial Modeling:Channel your passion for financial modeling to create robust models that align with the company's strategic goals. By focusing on building a solid financial foundation, you enable the organization to concentrate on its core activities without being burdened by concerns about the presentation of financial data.
* Strategic Thinking:Bring your strategic mindset to the forefront, contributing not only to financial aspects but also to the broader organizational strategy. Your role as VP/CFO involves aligning financial decisions with overarching business goals, ensuring a holistic approach to company growth.
