Job summary

Leidos in Reston, Virginia is seeking a VP, Capture Excellence to provide strategic direction across Corporate and Sector Priority capture opportunities, guiding the full lifecycle and aligning with BD and operations.

You will lead a team of Capture Excellence Directors, develop value propositions and early-win strategies, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across federal opportunities, requiring deep FAR knowledge, executive communication, and disciplined strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 15+ years federal capture leadership or equivalent experience.
• Experience coaching teams and engaging senior executives.
• Proven track record winning large-scale captures ($500M+).
• Knowledge of FAR and government contracting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction across 3-5 $500M+ captures per year.
• Serve as SME on capture strategy, processes and policies.
• Collaborate with Capture Manager to develop value propositions and early-win strategies.
• Organize and execute capture activities with industry and Leidos teams.
• Develop call plans, messaging, and customer requirements validation.
• Coordinate resources with SMEs and Program Managers.
• Plan capture activities including white papers, RFIs, workshops, and reviews.
• Capture after-action reviews and lessons learned.
