Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for AI/ML Technology in New York, NY. You will design and build low-latency, cloud-native services, integrating AI-driven development across the SDLC to modernize trading platforms.

You will lead multi-region architectures, govern AI agents, and collaborate with Global Banking & Markets teams to deliver scalable, production-grade software for P&L and trading lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in Java (Java 17+).
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and governance of AI agents.
• Experience building event-driven and distributed systems with messaging platforms (Kafka).
• Strong SDLC practices: version control, CI/CD, automated build/test/deploy.
• Solid testing discipline: unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Ability to navigate large unfamiliar codebases with/without AI assistance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region cloud-native services with security and observability.
• Develop event-driven architectures and optimized data paths for trade lifecycle management.
• Partner with engineers and stakeholders to model and digitize business processes.
• Manage full lifecycle of software components from requirements to release.
• Innovate AI-centric solutions and reusable capabilities across GB&M.
• Multiply impact with AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.
