Job summary

Blackstone Real Estate is seeking a VP of Acquisitions based in New York. The role leads the front end of the investment pipeline, owning evaluation and execution from initial sourcing through closing. You will present memos to the Investment Committee and coordinate cross-functional transaction activities.

The position interfaces with internal teams to align pre-close with post-close business plans and directly informs senior leadership on market opportunities and risk-adjusted returns.

Based in New York, the position operates with senior visibility and direct exposure to investment committee decision-making, translating market conditions and deal-specific insights into clear recommendations. The role sits at the intersection of acquisitions, underwriting, and transaction management, partnering closely with internal teams to align pre-close assumptions with post-close business plans.

Job Features

• Source and evaluate acquisition opportunities aligned with investment strategy, including broker outreach, proprietary sourcing, and relationship management
• Maintain market intelligence on pricing, capital markets conditions, and competitive dynamics to inform sourcing and underwriting
• Lead underwriting for prospective investments, building and reviewing financial analyses, valuation work, and sensitivity scenarios to support investment decisions
• Prepare and present investment memos and recommendations to senior leadership and investment committee, articulating returns, risks, and key assumptions
• Coordinate and manage transaction execution from initial review through closing, including LOIs, purchase and sale negotiations, and internal approvals
• Oversee due diligence workstreams (financial, legal, physical, and operational), synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations and risk mitigation plans
• Partner with Asset Management and Property Management to develop business plans and transition plans that align with underwriting and post-close objectives
