Job summary

Hoxton Circle, a private equity-backed multi-state company in Northern California, is seeking a VP of Accounting to own the close, controls and financial reporting for a $400M+ revenue business. You’ll lead the accounting team and partner with operations, FP&A and leadership to scale the finance function.

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll design processes, implement a robust tech stack, oversee audits and tax compliance, and prepare board reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting leadership roles.
• Experience with GAAP close processes and internal controls.
• Experience with multi-state tax and compliance.
• Lender reporting and consolidation for private equity-backed companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close with GAAP financials within five business days.
• Oversee financial statements, flash reports, and board reporting packages.
• Manage GL, AP, AR, cash, fixed assets and revenue recognition.
• Oversee inventory accounting across locations, costing and reserves.
• Ensure internal controls, accounting policies, and annual audits; primary liaison to external auditors.
• Coordinate tax compliance and licensing with outside advisors; support covenant reporting.
