Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in North San Jose, CA, seeks a VP or Senior Vice President of Finance/Accounting to provide strategic leadership across accounting operations, payroll, and financial controls. This on-site role will scale the finance organization and modernize processes to support rapid growth.

The ideal candidate has deep GAAP knowledge, extensive finance leadership in a large corporation, CPA preferred, and proven success in transforming high-volume payroll through technology while

Qualifications

• Extensive finance leadership experience in a large, complex organization ($5B+ revenue).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
• Experience scaling payroll operations through technology and process changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across general accounting, payroll accounting, technical accounting, and related finance operations.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity including reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and GL activities.
• Strengthen internal controls and optimize the financial close process.
• Advise on technical accounting matters and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Guide complex transactions including potential business combinations.
