Job summary
Persistent Systems, LLC seeks an executive to lead Navy & Marine Corps business development, defining growth campaigns and driving adoption of Wave Relay across services. You will manage a high-performing BD and capture team, own bookings, and cultivate strategic partnerships within the DoD ecosystem.
Location preference is NCR/Washington, D.C., with open options for strategic hubs or remote work with regular domestic travel.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of defense business development, capture or acquisition leadership.
- Active U.S. Secret clearance required; eligible for Top Secret/SCI.
- Travel up to 50–60% domestically to customer sites and demonstrations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or business.
- Experience with DoD 5000/Adaptive Acquisition Framework and OTA/CSO pathways.
- Leadership of distributed BD and capture teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute Navy/MC capture and BD strategies; own bookings quota and PoR transitions.
- Directly lead a distributed team of BD directors, capture managers, and field solutions engineers.
- Engage fleet users and program offices early to embed Wave Relay into architectures.
- Collaborate with Bid & Proposal, Product Management, and Engineering to develop winning strategies across acquisition pathways.
- Forge strategic teaming and OEM integration with tier-1 defense primes.
