Job summary

Nest DC is seeking an accomplished VP of Maintenance to lead maintenance operations across our scattered-site homes and small multifamily portfolio in the District. You will oversee a ticket coordination team, field technicians, vendors, and the adoption of advanced tech to optimize performance and NOI.

You will drive growth targets, ensure 24-hour field support, and collaborate with the Leadership Team to protect property quality and resident satisfaction, maintaining Nest DC’s 4.5+ star

Qualifications

• Senior executive leadership experience in property/maintenance operations.
• Proven ability to manage a multi-site maintenance team and vendors.
• Strong budget control and NOI optimization.
• Experience integrating technology stacks for maintenance workflows.
• Track record of achieving revenue growth and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance ticket coordination and field technician roster.
• Oversee vendor networks and internal HR systems (Rippling).
• Drive adoption of technology tools (LeadSimple, Notion, AppFolio, Google Gemini).
• Set growth expectations and exceed revenue targets across maintenance streams.
• Coordinate emergency protocols and 24-hour field coverage.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team to align turnover, client relations and reputation.
• Define KPI tracking, performance reviews, and staffing plans.
• Manage vendor SLAs and ensure compliance with Nest DC standards.
