Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Vice President, Legal - Mergers & Acquisitions to lead all transactional legal work for strategic acquisitions and related activities across data center and digital infrastructure assets. The role reports to the SVP and General Counsel and requires sophisticated deal structuring and risk management.

The candidate will balance legal risk with business objectives, manage multi-transaction workloads, and collaborate with executives while operating in a hybrid work environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in M&A and corporate transactions.
• Major law firm M&A practices preferred.
• Significant experience leading transactions valued above $100 million.
• Experience with private equity, REITs, technology companies, or digital infrastructure preferred.
• Data center, real estate, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, or technology sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all legal aspects of acquisitions, mergers, and strategic transactions.
• Structure and negotiate purchase, merger, JV, investment, and ancillary agreements.
• Lead due diligence efforts and manage transaction risk assessments.
• Advise executives on structure, diligence outcomes, and post-closing obligations.
• Support acquisitions and development of data centers.
• Coordinate outside counsel and cross-functional stakeholders through closing.
• Negotiate major tenant office space leases and telecom licenses.
• Manage outside counsel in litigation matters and set strategy.
• Interact with contractors, vendors, and third parties to resolve disputes.
