Job summary

Prospect Rock Partners, based in New York, seeks an experienced Vice President for their M&A team. You will design, originate, structure, and execute M&A transactions, contributing to pitch materials and client deliverables with senior input.

The role requires strong financial acumen and leadership in a high-stakes environment. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years in investment banking or an MBA in Finance, plus solid experience in modeling and due diligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ≥6 years in investment banking, corporate finance, and M&A at a top-tier bank, OR MBA in Finance with VP-level standing.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis.
• M&A investment banking experience is a strong plus.
• Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Maturity and good judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Creativity and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to work independently while remaining an effective team contributor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, origination, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions.
• Draft pitch books and client materials with detailed industry insights.
• Perform financial modeling, including DCF, comps, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger analyses.
• Conduct due diligence for buy-side, sell-side, and other strategic advisory mandates.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and presentations.
