Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Linux Systems, Hardware and Infrastructure Services Engineer (VP, SETI) to design, build and maintain scalable infrastructure automation for electronic trading. You will lead a small team, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to reduce risk and cost while ensuring secure, compliant operations.

The role emphasizes deep Linux administration, hardware evaluation, and automation skills within a global financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Linux systems administration and configuration management.
• Experience with debugging and network troubleshooting using standard tools.
• Proficiency in automating tasks with Python and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of architecting large-scale, robust and maintainable systems.

Responsabilités

• Design, engineer and support Linux server-based solutions for algorithmic trading.
• Leverage the Linux configuration platform to deliver unique system configurations.
• Evaluate FPGAs and keep drivers/firmware updated against security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development, admins and other engineers to reduce costs and risk.
• Serve as SME for the Linux-based electronic trading infrastructure platform.
• Mentor, coach and lead less experienced engineers.
• Provide technical leadership for a small team of system admins and SREs.
• Drive continuous improvement via reviews and SRE practices.
