Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a visionary VP of Linehaul & Fleet Operations to lead transportation strategy and fleet performance for a nationwide network. The role shapes capital investments, carrier relationships, and regulatory compliance to support growth and operational excellence.

The position offers a remote-friendly environment with a base salary in the $200k–$250k range and performance-based incentives up to 35%. A strong background in large-scale transportation leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of relevant leadership experience in large-scale transportation/fleet/logistics operations.
• Expert knowledge of transportation operations, linehaul networks, fleet management, and carrier relations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation strategies that optimize safety, cost, and network performance.
• Provide leadership for Directors of Transportation and related functions.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, carrier management, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive KPI-based governance and analytics to improve performance.
• Negotiate strategic transportation partnerships and manage budgets.
