Job summary

OnTrac in South Brunswick, NJ, is hiring a Linehaul Manager to lead end-to-end linehaul operations, analytics, and process improvements across multiple teams. The role focuses on designing and optimizing resources, dashboards, and KPI frameworks to drive efficiency, accuracy, and growth.

You will manage budgets, coach and build strong teams, and report to senior leadership. A bachelor’s degree and 2 years in logistics or related fields are required; the schedule is Monday–Friday with standard

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2 years of directly related logistics/supply chain, dispatching, transportation, engineering, or business analyst/project management experience.
• Deep understanding of linehaul management, data analytics, policies, and workflows, and an awareness of adjacent functions.
• Strong financial literacy to set budgets and determine team ROI.
• Ability to translate goals into actionable plans.
• Ability to lead, build, and inspire teams of professionals, coaching for performance.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, tailoring conversations to the audience.
• Knowledge of high-volume transaction environments and automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the company safety program.
• Develop and lead enterprise linehaul management strategies, including forecasting models, resource optimization, and KPI frameworks to ensure scalable, efficient operations.
• Conduct detailed audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity, including root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives, embedding proactive quality management frameworks into core service delivery.
• Plan, implement, and streamline procedures, systems, and information flow for maximum efficiency.
• Design and build scalable reporting tools and dashboards that enhance visibility, transparency, and data-driven decision-making across operations.
• Set and manage departmental budget and allocate resources effectively and responsibly.
• Influence senior leadership through executive-level communication, delivering insights and recommendations that shape strategy and operational performance.
• Hire, manage, schedule, and develop teams; have authority to hire, discipline, and recommend termination, and are responsible for performance management of their teams, including coaching, corrective action, and evaluations.
