Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a VP of Linehaul & Fleet Operations to lead transportation strategy, network performance, and fleet management. The role drives safety, cost efficiency, and scalable operations across national networks, with senior leadership accountability and strategic collaboration with executives.

Ideal candidate has 15+ years in large-scale transportation leadership, deep industry knowledge, and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, transportation, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years in leadership of large-scale transportation, fleet, or logistics ops.
• Deep knowledge of transportation operations, linehaul networks, fleet management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in rate negotiations and competitive RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation strategies to optimize service, safety, cost, and network performance.
• Provide leadership for Directors of Transportation and Fleet Ops.
• Oversee long-range network design, capacity planning, and service design.
• Direct fleet and carrier strategy to ensure capacity, cost efficiency, and service quality.
• Lead safety, regulatory compliance, and total cost of ownership for fleet maintenance.
• Establish KPI frameworks and analytics to drive performance and growth.
