Job summary

CoreSite, a leading colocation data center company, is seeking a Vice President, Legal - Mergers & Acquisitions to drive strategic growth through acquisitions, JVs, and corporate transactions. You will oversee legal aspects of data center transactions and advise management on structure, diligence, and risk across multiple deals.

The role requires a JD, bar admission, and 5+ years in M&A, with preference for major law firm experience and familiarity with data center/tech sectors.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years in M&A and corporate transactions.
• Major law firm M&A experience preferred.
• Significant experience leading >$100M transactions.
• Experience in data center, real estate, telecom, or tech sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all legal aspects of acquisitions, mergers, and strategic transactions.
• Structure and negotiate purchase, merger, JV, investment, and related agreements.
• Lead due diligence and assess transaction risk.
• Advise executives on structure, diligence outcomes, and post-closing obligations.
• Support data center acquisitions and development efforts.
• Coordinate outside counsel and cross-functional stakeholders through closing.
• Negotiate major leases and telecom licenses; review drafts by others.
• Manage outside counsel in litigation matters and strategy.
• Analyze disputes with vendors/third parties; external counsel guidance as needed.
• Promote CoreSite values and culture; perform other duties as assigned.
