Job summary

Swooped seeks a Vice President of Information Technology in the United States to define and execute an IT strategy that drives efficiency and scale the IT organization from the ground up. You will deliver technology solutions to support growth and customer satisfaction.

You will lead ERP/CRM initiatives, oversee a broad IT portfolio, and partner with executives across functions to drive business outcomes. A strong focus on data governance and cost optimization will be essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT leadership with at least 5 years in an executive role.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Business or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, or Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience leading ERP and CRM implementations and optimizations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and disaster recovery.
• Proven track record of process improvements with measurable results.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and technology budgets.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Build a shared-services IT model that effectively supports multiple business units.
• Collaborate with leaders across Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
• Translate business needs into technology solutions and communicate technical concepts in clear business terms.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership on IT performance, projects, risks, and strategic initiatives.
• Design the IT organization by defining the roles, structure, and reporting lines needed to support manufacturing and remodeling operations.
• Create a phased hiring plan that matches business growth to scale the team effectively.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team while establishing key performance indicators.
• Determine the appropriate balance between internal resources and outsourced services.
• Promote a customer-focused approach where IT functions as a trusted business partner.
• Oversee IT service management processes, including incident, change, and problem management.
• Standardize systems and processes while reducing manual work and inefficiencies.
• Partner with business leaders to improve and automate key operational workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Manage enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, financial, HRIS, manufacturing, and project management systems.
• Lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Establish data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities to support business decision-making.
• Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.
• Develop and manage the IT budget and long-term technology investment plans.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor IT spending and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
