Job summary

Synchrony seeks a VP, Identity Security Platforms to lead the management and development of Identity Security tools within the IAM domain. The role directs cross-functional teams, with hands-on design as needed, to advance security posture across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include roadmap ownership, platform governance, and collaboration with engineers, architects, and security stakeholders. A leadership presence and travel readiness are required for enterprise-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in CS or related field, or 15+ years IT experience with HS diploma.
• 5+ years leading engineers or analysts.
• 5+ years delivering technology solutions for large enterprises.
• 5+ years designing, building, and managing enterprise security tools.
• 5+ years with security policy engineering (firewall, network, authentication, zero trust).
• Strong IAM principles and best practices in modern IDP's, directories, and authentication systems.
• Experience with secure architectures, security posture hardening, vulnerability management, and security operations integrations.
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Identity Security product roadmaps as the Agile Product Owner, applying technical knowledge and insights.
• Manage development, testing, implementation, and operations of ISPM & ITDR platforms to drive identity hygiene.
• Oversee Zero Trust access policy engineering, enabling continuous adaptive policies based on risk.
• Drive governance, technical excellence, operational processes, and risk management of the platforms.
• Cross-functional collaboration with technical leaders, solution architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
