Job summary

Synchrony seeks a VP, Identity Security Platforms to lead development of Identity Security product roadmaps and oversee ISPM/ITDR platforms within IAM. This senior role blends hands-on design with leadership to drive enterprise security posture and Zero Trust policy engineering.

You will collaborate with solution architects and governance teams, manage a cross-functional engineering group, and shape tooling strategy while balancing risk, performance, and availability across the organization.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or technical field; 10+ IT exp or equivalent.
• High School Diploma with 15+ years IT exp considered.
• 15+ years overall IT leadership in large enterprises preferred.
• Experience leading engineering teams and security tooling delivery.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, identity services, and access governance.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (SOX, PCI, NIST).

Responsibilities

• Develop Identity Security product roadmaps as Agile Product Owner.
• Oversee ISPM & ITDR platforms for identity hygiene and governance.
• Engineer Zero Trust policies and balance security with user friction.
• Drive governance, security metrics, and platform availability.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders across the org.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
