Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, Identity Security Platforms to oversee the development of Identity Security tools within the IAM division. The role requires broad leadership across identity, security engineering, posture management, and cyber operations, with hands-on design as needed.

The position leads a team, works across boundaries to understand the technology ecosystem, and drives governance and operational excellence for enterprise services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent IT leadership experience (10+ years)
• 5+ years leading engineering teams
• 5+ years delivering enterprise security solutions
• 5+ years in security policy engineering (firewall, IAM, zero trust)
• Experience with secure architectures, vulnerability management, and security operations integrations

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Identity Security product roadmaps as Agile Product Owner.
• Oversee ISPM & ITDR platform development, testing, and operations.
• Lead Zero Trust policy engineering and risk-based access controls.
• Govern governance, metrics, and operational processes for platform reliability.
• Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and security stakeholders.
