Job summary

West Central Behavioral Health seeks a senior leader to own health information governance, EHR administration, and technology infrastructure across the agency. You will supervise two directors and partner with the CEO on data strategy, regulatory risk, and quality improvement.

You will drive HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance, optimize EHR configuration and reporting, and build information governance programs that improve reimbursement accuracy and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (HIM, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration or related field)
• At least 5 years progressive HIM experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Experience in behavioral health, community health, or human services
• Deep working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 in behavioral health
• Hands-on experience administering or overseeing an EHR, including configuration and reporting
• Analytical ability to translate health data into decisions and communicate to clinicians, executives, and Board

Responsibilities

• Oversee health information management, EHR administration, and facility tech infrastructure
• Lead two directors: IT and Quality Improvement & Compliance
• Advise CEO and executive team on health information governance and data strategy
• Manage EHR configuration, user access, security, and vendor coordination
• Ensure HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, NH He-M rules, and CMS requirements compliance and privacy investigations
• Develop a clinical documentation improvement program for accurate reimbursement under the PPS model
• Collaborate on Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan with automated reporting
• Oversee release of information, master patient index integrity, and records retention
• Lead audits tied to quality measures and payer requirements
• Report HIM performance and compliance to executive leadership and Board
