Job summary

Versant Media seeks a Vice President, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to lead the Cyber organization, setting the strategic direction of its security evaluation program, control frameworks, and risk management processes.

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this leader will modernize the team, oversee audits, policy management, and engagement across brands, while building a mature, inclusive cyber defense program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in leadership across cyber security disciplines.
• Experience leading external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Developed governance policies, compliance programs, board reporting.
• Led risk assessment and mitigation in large enterprises.
• M&A security evaluations and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of COSO, ISO 31000, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA.
• Strong communication with executives and stakeholders.
• Proven leadership across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the GRC organization.
• Oversee risk management lifecycle and policy management.
• Lead cross-business engagement and security request intake.
• Manage outsourced services and staff for efficiency.
• Evaluate security risk of technology implementations across brands.
• Foster stakeholder relationships across Versant business lines.
• Guide transformation and maturity of the cyber organization.
• Develop and support staff across levels.
