Job summary

Versant seeks a Vice President of Governance, Risk, and Compliance to lead the Cyber organization’s risk evaluation program, control frameworks, and regulatory readiness. You will report to the Chief Information Security Officer and drive strategic direction across business units and partner organizations.

The role requires 10+ years of security leadership, external audit experience, and strong executive communication.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in leadership across cyber security, governance, risk, compliance, audit and risk management lifecycles.
Experience with external audits and regulatory reviews across complex workflows.
Proven ability to develop governance policies, compliance programs, security training, and board reporting.
Experience building internal testing and control frameworks for efficiency and compliance.
Background in M&A security evaluations and enterprise-wide risk management.

Responsibilities

Set strategic direction for the GRC organization aligning with Cyber strategy.
Transform maturity of risk management lifecycle and operational processes.
Direct cross-business engagement and prioritization of security requests across GRC services.
Oversee outsourced services and staff to improve operational efficiency.
Evaluate security risk of technology implementations and hold leadership accountable for risk.
Foster stakeholder relationships across business lines for a cohesive cyber defense.
Provide leadership in transforming the Versant Cyber Organization and its mission.
