Job summary

Versant is seeking a seasoned Vice President, Governance, Risk, and Compliance to lead a high‑impact cyber security program across the organization. You will set strategic direction for risk, policy, and assurance, while guiding governance initiatives and regulatory compliance across multiple brands and business units.

You will drive maturity in risk management, oversee audits, and partner with executives to translate threat intel into concrete controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in a leadership role across cyber security disciplines including governance, risk, compliance, audit, and risk resolution lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience leading external audits and regulatory reviews involving multiple, complex workflows.
• Proven ability to create and maintain governance policies, compliance programs, security training, and board reporting formats.
• Experience developing internal testing and control frameworks to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• M&A security evaluations and comprehensive risk evaluations experience.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction of the GRC organization with alignment across Cyber partner organizations and the overall Cyber strategy.
• Transform the maturity of functions including ownership of risk management lifecycle and operational processes.
• Direct cross-business engagement, intake of security requests and prioritization across GRC services.
• Direct multiple outsourced services and staff to support operational efficiencies.
• Evaluate security risk of technology implementations and hold leadership accountable for accepted risk.
• Foster crossfunctional relationships and drive an inclusive cyber defense mission for Versant and its business lines.
• Maintain a feedback loop with business partners to inform daily operations and strategic growth.
• Lead the Versant Cyber Organization’s transformation, maturity, and sustainability.
