Job summary

Custom Flavors, located in San Clemente, CA, seeks a Vice President of Supply Chain Management to lead procurement, sourcing, inventory, planning and logistics across three facilities with roughly $100M annual spend. The role builds the organization, processes, and capabilities to support rapid growth.

The candidate will drive supply chain strategy, negotiate major contracts, and establish KPI-driven governance, ensuring alignment with operational and financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience with responsibility for teams.
• Multi-site manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing significant direct material spend and complex supplier relationships.
• Food, flavor, ingredient, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company-wide supply chain strategy to support growth, customer service, cost, quality, and working capital objectives.
• Assess current and future supply chain requirements and build organizational structure, roles, and capabilities for scale.
• Lead and develop the supply chain team with clear responsibilities and succession plans.
• Oversee procurement and strategic sourcing across raw materials, packaging, indirect spend and other categories.
• Develop supplier strategies to improve cost, service, quality, and supply continuity.
• Lead major supplier negotiations and contracts with supplier performance management processes.
• Identify and mitigate supply continuity, capacity, geographic, and single-source risks.
• Establish consistent procurement, planning, inventory management, and logistics processes across facilities.
• Lead inventory strategy balancing service, production needs, working capital, shelf life, and risk.
• Collaborate with Operations and Commercial to align demand, supply, and production planning.
• Establish supply chain KPIs, reporting, and governance for visibility and decision making.
• Identify cost savings, productivity, and value-creation initiatives across the supply chain.
• Assess systems and data needs and partner with IT to develop scalable supply chain tools.
• Support new products, materials, supplier qualification, and evolving requirements with other functions.
