Qualifications

• Experience supporting commercial contract negotiations and/or fintech product launches.
• Ability to assess and advise on legal and regulatory risks for new and existing fintech lending or credit programs.
• Strong knowledge of consumer and commercial lending laws, including regulations governing lending products, credit programs, and Bank-Fintech partnerships.
• Background in fintech, banking, financial services, or lending, with a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape.
• Ability to partner effectively with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to support business objectives while managing legal risk.

Job description

Our client is looking for a VP, Fintech Lending Counsel with deep expertise in Bank-Fintech lending partnerships and sponsored lending programs. This role will advise on the development and launch of lending products, provide legal guidance on regulatory and compliance matters, and support ongoing program growth. The ideal candidate has experience taking fintech lending products from concept through implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, risk, compliance, and operations. Candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to Sioux Falls, SD or Wilmington, DE.

Required Skills & Experience

• - Experience supporting commercial contract negotiations and/or fintech product launches.
• - Proven ability to assess and advise on legal and regulatory risks for new and existing fintech lending or credit programs.
• - Strong knowledge of consumer and commercial lending laws, including regulations governing lending products, credit programs, and Bank-Fintech partnerships.

Pay Ranges from $200,000/yr-$220,000/yr.
