Job summary

The Bancorp Bank, N.A. is seeking a VP Fintech Lending Counsel to join its Legal Department with a hybrid schedule in Sioux Falls, SD or Wilmington, DE.

The role provides practical legal guidance on Fintech-sponsored lending programs and collaborates with product, risk, compliance, and external partners to support strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating program documents, interpreting applicable laws, supporting regulatory risk assessments, and monitoring

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of experience in banking, financial services, and Fintech law, advising on Bank‑Fintech lending partnerships and related products.
• Experience advising on launch and implementation of Fintech lending programs from design to execution.
• Strong ability to communicate with non-attorneys and attorneys at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal business clients on sponsored lending products, focusing on Bank‑Fintech partnership models.
• Embed as legal partner to product, risk, compliance, and operations in Fintech lending programs.
• Draft, review, and negotiate program agreements, disclosures, and ancillary documents with Fintech partners.
• Interpret laws and provide practical, actionable legal guidance to internal clients.
• Support risk assessments and remediation for Fintech credit programs with risk partners.
