Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a VP, Fintech Lending Counsel to advise on the development and launch of lending products and to provide regulatory and compliance guidance. The role partners with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to support growth, with locations in Sioux Falls, SD or Wilmington, DE.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Bank-Fintech lending partnerships, sponsored lending programs, and navigating consumer and commercial lending laws.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting commercial contract negotiations and fintech product launches.
• Ability to assess and advise on regulatory risks for fintech lending programs.
• Strong knowledge of consumer and commercial lending laws and regulations.
• Background in fintech, banking or lending with regulatory understanding.
• Ability to partner with Product, Compliance, Risk and Operations to manage legal risk.

Job description

Location: Sioux Falls, SD or Wilmington, DE

Compensation: $190k - 220k/yr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Our client is looking for a VP, Fintech Lending Counsel with deep expertise in Bank-Fintech lending partnerships and sponsored lending programs. This role will advise on the development and launch of lending products, provide legal guidance on regulatory and compliance matters, and support ongoing program growth. The ideal candidate has experience taking fintech lending products from concept through implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, risk, compliance, and operations. Candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to Sioux Falls, SD or Wilmington, DE.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting commercial contract negotiations and/or fintech product launches.
• Proven ability to assess and advise on legal and regulatory risks for new and existing fintech lending or credit programs.
• Strong knowledge of consumer and commercial lending laws, including regulations governing lending products, credit programs, and Bank-Fintech partnerships.
• Background in fintech, banking, financial services, or lending, with a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape.
• Ability to partner effectively with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to support business objectives while managing legal risk.
