Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance Excellence and Transformation to lead a technology centric enterprise-wide Finance transformation. This role will design and deliver a multi-year roadmap to strengthen processes, systems, data, and governance across the finance function.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Finance, the VP will partner with CFO leadership and other enterprise teams; we prefer candidates local to Reston, VA but remote-telework is

Qualifications

• Typically 12–15+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Program Finance, or Financial Operations, with at least 5 years leading enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives.
• US Citizenship is required to apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field; master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing the Transformation Vision by collaborating with CFO leadership to create a compelling finance transformation vision.
• Stakeholder Engagement to secure buy-in from executives and business leaders.
• Change Management with cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Contracts, IT, HR and Operations.
• Assess current-state processes, systems, and legacy platforms to identify gaps related to growth.
• Lead the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of an enterprise-wide finance transformation program.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities across project phases, including scope, dependencies, resources, and milestones.
• Drive automation, data governance, and reporting enhancements.
• Set and track KPIs and regularly review with leadership.
