Job summary

Banc of California is seeking a VP, Finance Systems & Solutions to optimize financial systems and reporting. The role partners with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, IT, and Internal Audit to drive automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled improvements across close, reconciliations, and reporting workflows.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting/finance in banking, 4+ years in systems analysis or administration, and strong ERP/analytics tool experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within banking or financial services.
• 4+ years of experience in systems analysis role or application administration/development.
• Proficiency in financial systems including Oracle Fusion ERP and BlackLine (or similar financial reconciliation system).
• Advanced Excel expertise with complex formulas, Power Query, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, SmartView, and Alteryx.
• Experience with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar).
• Strong understanding of banking deposit and loan operations is a plus.
• Proven track record of driving technology and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead ownership, configuration, and administration of Blackline and platform management.
• Oversee patch testing, release management, feature evaluation, and stakeholder communication.
• Partner with IT for Oracle Fusion GL configuration, testing, and adoption.
• Maintain system documentation, data flows, dependencies, and procedures.
• Liaise with internal/external audit for financial systems ownership.
