Job summary

Banc of California is seeking a SVP, Head of AI to define and lead the bank's enterprise AI strategy, turning experiments into governed, production‑level capabilities. You will partner with leaders across Revenue, Credit, Risk & Compliance, and Operations to drive value while ensuring risk and governance are prioritized.

The role demands deep expertise in LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI platforms in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive technology/data/AI/ML experience, including leading technical teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.
• Proven track record taking AI initiatives from concept/pilot to production in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate Banc of California's enterprise AI strategy and portfolio.
• Lead the AI Engineering Bench and build capable teams across priority use cases.
• Ensure governance, risk management, and responsible‑AI principles across production AI.
