This role partners with Finance leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, while guiding a talented accounting team.

The position emphasizes collaboration across FP&A, Treasury, and Risk, with a focus on process modernization, system implementations, and strategic finance projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with at least 3 years in a manager or supervisor role in Banking or Financial Services.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CPA is required.
• CPA is required; strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proven history of driving technology and process improvements.
• Analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight across key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and policy adherence.
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes and enhanced reporting for senior management.
• Govern policy and procedures, maintain a comprehensive procedures library.
• Maintain internal controls with the SOX department and ensure accurate reporting.
• Manage audits and ensure timely delivery of information for audits.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead process improvements through automation, data analytics, and AI tools.
• Supervise and develop a high-performing accounting team; training and mentoring.
