Job summary

Kitsap Credit Union in Bremerton, WA is seeking a Vice President of Risk Management to lead enterprise risk management and shape the risk appetite for a progressive, member‑focused credit union.

Reporting to the SVP/CFO, this strategic second‑line role provides oversight of operational, regulatory, technology, cyber, and third‑party risks, partnering with IT to strengthen information security and resilience across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of risk leadership in a bank or credit union
• Supervisory experience to build high-performing teams
• Deep knowledge of regulatory, consumer protection, data privacy, and information security requirements
• Proven ability to mature an enterprise risk management framework

Responsibilities

• Lead ERM framework and risk appetite development
• Oversight of operational, regulatory, technology, cyber, and third-party risks
• Lead compliance, BSA/AML, OFAC, vendor management, fraud/loss prevention, and business continuity
• Assess emerging risks from AI, digital transformation, fintech, and cyber threats
• Evaluate new products through a risk lens
• Partner with IT for second-line oversight of technology and information security risk
• Deliver reporting and insights to senior leadership and the Board
• Coordinate impact assessments for regulatory developments and exams readiness
• Balance innovation with prudent risk management
• Understand AI's strategic risk and regulatory implications
• Translate regulatory complexity into actionable business strategy
