Metro Credit Union is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to unify strategy and execution across digital banking, payments, deposits, and risk. You will lead a broad portfolio and guide modernization while embedding strong governance and compliance.

The role emphasizes building scalable teams and driving AI-enabled efficiency. The successful candidate will have 10+ years in financial services leadership, a passion for risk-aware innovation, and the ability to influence across functions

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive leadership in financial services or fintech.
• Experience leading complex operational functions and enterprise‑level initiatives.
• Strong working knowledge of regulated financial‑services operations, risk, internal controls, and compliance expectations.
• Ability to translate strategy into operating plans with clear priorities and accountability.
• Experience building and scaling cross‑functional initiatives and teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic priorities into clear operating plans and measurable outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify work, automate processes, and strengthen controls.
• Lead modernization of operational platforms with risk and compliance embedded by design.
• Strengthen governance and readiness for audits and regulatory examinations.
• Advance fraud risk management, analytics, reporting, and loss mitigation capabilities.
• Oversee multiple operational domains including deposits, payments, cards, digital banking, and compliance.
• Develop leaders and build a high‑performing, inclusive team.
