Job summary

First Command Bank is seeking a strategic Vice President, Credit Risk Manager to lead the independent second-line credit risk function across consumer and commercial lending. The role focuses on establishing a comprehensive risk framework, governance, and risk reporting to support safe growth and regulatory compliance.

The VP will oversee portfolio risk, policy governance, concentration management, stress testing and analytics while partnering with Lending, Finance, Compliance and Internal Audit

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in credit risk management or related banking functions
• 3–5 years of management experience preferred
• Experience overseeing both consumer and commercial lending risk portfolios preferred
• Strong understanding of CECL, credit risk analytics, portfolio management and regulatory expectations
• Excellent communication and board-level reporting skills

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of credit risk, portfolio performance, policy governance and risk reporting.
• Lead stress testing and credit analytics to identify concentrations and vulnerabilities.
• Partner with Lending, Compliance, Internal Audit and Finance to ensure effective risk management across the organization.
• Develop and maintain enterprise credit risk management framework and dashboards.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits with robust risk analysis and documentation.
