Job summary

Vizient seeks a visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering organization powering our enterprise platforms and next-generation healthcare technology products. You will shape engineering strategy, drive platform investments, and foster technical excellence across Architecture, Technology Delivery, Security, and Product teams.

You will recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent, balance FTE and contingent staffing, and partner with Platform Product Management to define

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Proven executive leadership of large, multi-level engineering organizations.
• Hands-on leader capable of building POCs and contributing to design.
• Experience delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in healthcare technology or regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Define and execute enterprise platform strategy enabling secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Partner with Platform Product Management to align strategy, investments, and roadmaps.
• Establish modern engineering practices—DevSecOps, quality engineering, automation, observability—and measure adoption across teams.
