Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to advise on the full range of ER issues for North America business units. You will provide client-focused coaching on performance, attendance, and conduct matters, applying employment laws and policy knowledge to guide investigations and decisions.

You will work with HRBP partners and leaders, gather input from cross-functional teams, draft investigation materials, and deliver risk-aware recommendations while maintaining

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Employee Relations with a BS/BA degree.
• Strong influencing, stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels, including senior executives.
• Self-starter with strategic/analytical thinking and technology-enabled workflow improvement.
• Ability to explain legal risk and reasoning behind decisions.
• Fluency with technology and data, willingness to use AI-enabled tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve potential conduct violations with risk-aware decisions.
• Investigate grievances, performance, attendance, and escalated leave matters with strategic consulting.
• Coordinate with country-specific ER teams, Legal, Compliance, Security, and other SMEs.
• Prepare case materials for governance groups with synthesized facts and risk considerations.
• Draft counseling, warning memoranda, and sanction notices; counsel managers accordingly.
• Advise managers on warnings, performance improvement plans, and documentation.
• Maintain operations per corporate standards; leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline ER workflows.
