Job summary

Brookfield Properties in Atlanta seeks a seasoned Vice President of Development Accounting to lead regional accounting for a large North American logistics portfolio, ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting and internal controls across acquisitions, joint ventures and developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in real estate development.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and development accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional Development Accounting function and establish best-in-class processes, governance standards and scalable operating procedures.
• Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, advising on accounting implications, financial risks and development performance.
• Develop, mentor and retain a high-performing accounting team while driving accountability and succession planning.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives including systems enhancements, automation and continuous process improvement.
