Job summary

Brookfield Properties seeks a seasoned Vice President of Development Accounting to lead the North American Logistics development portfolio. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and controls while partnering with Development, Investments, Asset Management, and Legal to steer financial performance.

You will manage a high-performing team, ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, and present results to executives, driving governance and continuous improvement across a sophisticated real estate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
CPA strongly preferred.
10-15+ years of progressive accounting experience in real estate.
Experience leading accounting teams in complex institutional settings.

Responsibilities

Lead the regional Development Accounting function with governance standards.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and capital tracking.
Manage construction financings, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations.
Present financial results, forecasts, and risks to senior leadership; ensure audit readiness.
