Job summary

Goldman Sachs Bank AG in Dallas seeks a senior software engineer to design and build data-intensive capabilities supporting the firm's analytics and cash flow tooling.

You will drive data platform features end-to-end, mentor engineers, and collaborate on Snowflake data warehousing, ETL pipelines with Airflow and Spark, and observability with CloudWatch and Datadog in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with 3 years software engineering experience OR Bachelor's degree in same fields with 5 years experience.
• 3 years with a Master's or 5 years with a Bachelor's in OO programming, SDLC with GitHub or GitLab, CI/CD, and automation pipelines.
• Experience architecting and developing safe, resilient distributed services on AWS with data modeling and complex SQL queries.
• Proficiency building APIs with Spring Boot, REST/GraphQL and relational databases; knowledge of data warehousing technologies like Snowflake, Cassandra, Oracle, or Postgres.
• Two years in distributed systems, Kafka-based pipelines; ETL pipelines with Airflow, Spark; observability with CloudWatch/Datadog; documenting architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data-intensive capabilities using modern data technologies.
• Leverage data analytics to improve client tools and cash flow management efficiency.
• Develop, test, rollout and support data platform features; contribute to roadmap and engineering culture.
• Build big data capabilities to support the business; mentor junior engineers and help grow the team.
