Job summary

Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, TX seeks a Vice President of Software Engineering to design, deploy, and maintain complex database environments including SingleStore, MongoDB, and Cloud databases. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/Information Systems or related field with 5 years’ related experience, or a Master’s with 3 years.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, SingleStore, DB2, MongoDB, Cassandra) and managing SingleStore environments.
• Proficiency in Hadoop-based data platforms, Python automation, Unix shell scripting, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud infra (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain database environments (SingleStore, MongoDB, Sybase) to support critical applications.
• Develop best practices for DB administration: backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with identity/access management and middleware teams to align security with data platforms.
• Troubleshoot DB issues, ensure high availability, and perform capacity planning for growth.
• Drive improvements in SDLC and release processes with automated tests and performance checks.
